MEET PAZ

Born in Barcelona as the youngest of five sisters, Paz Sintes discovered her passion for fashion as a child, sketching designs, styling her sisters, and transforming her mother’s clothes. Her childhood home was a tapestry of music, cinema, and dance, yet while her family pursued different paths, Paz knew early on that her life would revolve around textiles, design, and creation.

She studied Fashion and Woven Textiles in England and Spain, and began her professional journey designing work uniforms, eventually becoming a senior designer at MANGO Corporation International. There, she oversaw trend research, design, sourcing, and prototypes, traveling to major fashion capitals worldwide. Consulting positions in Saint Petersburg and Paris further broadened her expertise and curiosity about global design.

Although fashion was her main focus, Paz explored many creative disciplines—shoemaking, handbags, furniture restoration, print design, watercolor, forging, and window display. Jewelry, however, had never drawn her interest—until she crafted lightweight chokers from vintage Valencienne lace for friends. When a boutique in Madrid unexpectedly placed orders, it led to the launch of PAZ SINTES Textile Jewelry, which soon sold in boutiques across Spain and Paris.

In 2006, she moved to New York, where she continues to handcraft her collections in her Brooklyn studio. Her work combines hand-stitching, hand-dyeing, coating, reinforcing, laser cutting, weaving, and crocheting to create structurally sophisticated yet feather-light pieces—jewelry that exists at the intersection of clothing and adornment.

Since then, her creations have been featured in prestigious museum stores and boutiques worldwide, showcased at leading fine arts and craft shows in the U.S., and in 2015, were worn by Queen Letizia of Spain.

Paz Sintes continues to push the boundaries of textile jewelry, creating delicate yet durable, sculptural yet wearable works that celebrate craftsmanship, texture, and movement.
